Well,
in any good story, there has to be a twist, a villain, an anti-climax, right? And
so it is at the Chinese Gardens, after all.
The skies turn overcast. Dark clouds loom. Frequent bursts of brilliant-but-'silent'
lightning illumine the place. They enhance the setting's general beauty alright, but hardly provide a silver lining. Such
a cruel irony.
But that does not dampen the spirits
of the crowd -- a delightful mix of ladies and gentleman, guys and gals, boys and babes, tykes and toddlers, what have you.
